Oh yes, its that time to update everyone on how many carbs I have consumed in the last week or two...lets just say I have stopped counting - for my mental health.
To the left is one of my favorite finds in the small village of Polis. There is an overgrown patio off one of the main streets that has been dubbed "The Art Cafe." Not only do they serve wonderfully home-cooked meals, but they have the BEST Orange Julius called an Angel Dream. Close behind in tastiness are their ice cream shakes - perfect for a sweltering humid day in Cyprus.
Something I have had to get used to while in Cyprus is the exorbitant amount of meat expected in the average persons diet. Above is a mixed platter for four at a tasty cafe in the capital of Nicosia. Included in the platter is pulled pork, sheftalia, kebab and grilled pork.
