FOOD......
I. Love. Food. Especially if it is sweet, salty or both. I must say, Cyprus is no exception when it comes to the making and eating of wonderfully baked sweets. Today's food spot is Angelika's Pastereia in Polis. She works late into the evening and very early in the morning to provide the most amazing homemade sweets.
Angelika's is a local favorite for special occasions or the most incurable chocolate craving. I usually drop by on my way to the apotheke early in the morning when the baked goods are still piping hot. Most tourists are unaware of its existence but Angelika doesn't mind - she usually sells out by the end of the day!
The Pastereia has everything from homemade cream puffs served over dark mousse to caramel pretzel cake; the mint chocolate bars, orange cream chocolate cupcakes and coconut balls are some of my other favorites!
